Confused By All The Microsoft AI Offerings?
Andy Roberts from Microsoft stops by our Learning Lab to clarify
Our weekly “Learning Lab” on Mondays at 4p PST / 7p EST has been a critical educational tool for our GAI Insights member community. This week Andy Roberts, architect at the Microsoft Technology Center in Boston, attended our session to clarify the AI offerings from Microsoft (Thank you Andy!).
Microsoft has a lot of AI products
Copilot (actually 30 different “copilot” products. Copilot Excel, Copilot Word, etc.)
Bing Chat
Bing Chat Enterprise
Microsoft 365 CoPilot
Microsoft 365 Graph
Azure OpenAI API
Etc.
Key notes
No dates for the release of 30 Copilot products (but the products will be rolled out over time)
Microsoft have is own incidence of OpenAI
There is no chatbot for OpenAI in Azure
OpenAI API vs Azure OpenAI API may different due to differences in APIs
Indemnification policy: Microsoft will indemnify you its copilot that use OpenAI LLM model, but this indemnification does not cover Azure OpenAI API service
